Child welfare’s humble supporters

It was a difficult year for the Springs and KwaThema Child Welfare Society but a few businesses and organisations jumped in to ease the load the organisation faced throughout the year.

Project manager, Sanet van Moerkerken, says there were several tasks where these people assisted the society.

“With their assistance, we had vehicles that needed a service, serviced, and children who could not be fed, fed,” she says.

Roelien van der Berg ensured the vehicles’ wheel alignments were done while Gerty de Kock made sure all the vehicles were shiny clean for the next case that awaited the social workers.

Sanet says the society’s secondhand shop also received a facelift.

“It is our new ‘baby’ and it is rapidly growing,” Sanet adds.

Everyone at the society is grateful to the people who make their jobs easier.
