Potters Haven wins R10 000 at Rotary’s 80th birthday

The Rotary Club of Springs celebrates its birthday by giving away R10 000.

The Rotary Club of Springs celebrated its 80th birthday on Saturday at the Riverside Estate in Grootvaly.

Rotarians gathered to enjoy a formal evening and to highlight the work they do for the community.

Each guest had the opportunity to write down the name of a project in the Springs community.

The names were then entered into a raffle, with the chance of winning R10 000.

The numerous projects included the Springs SPCA, Vita Nova, Epilepsy SA, Potters Haven and many more.

Lauren Webber-Froneman, president of the Rotary Club of Springs, drew Potters Haven as the winning project.

The guests were also surprised by a raffle, where they were automatically entered via the numbers on their ticket.

The lucky winners each won a bottle of wine.
