Eskom’s power system remains constrained

The power system will be tight, particularly over the weekday evening peak periods.

Eskom’s media desk reported they will continue to monitor the situation, and should it be necessary to implement load shedding, they will communicate accordingly.

As the weather begins to warm up, usage of electricity becomes high for most of the day predominantly due to the increased usage of air-conditioners, geysers and pool pumps.

Eskom calls on all electricity users to continue using electricity sparingly in order to reduce the risk of load shedding.
