Hindu community comes together for celebration

The Bhairavi Sungum of Springs will be celebrating its 23rd Annual Sarasvathee Celebrations on Sunday (September 27).

The celebrations will include a Multi-Cultural Heritage Concert which will be held at the Springs Secondary School hall at 2.30pm.

As part of observing Heritage Day, this cultural event will bring all sections of the Hindu community together, namely Hindi, Tamil and Gujarati speaking, to present cultural items in their respective language in praise of Goddess Sarasvathee.

The participating groups are the Bakerton Bhajan Mandal, Benoni Tamil School Board, Springs Sai Centre, Springs Hindu Seva Samaj, Springs Sanathan Ved, Dharam Sabha together with the Bhairavi Sungum of Springs.

Dr Keshnee Beharie will be a guest speaker at the event.

The concert will be followed by supper and entrance is free of charge.
