Stikeez come to an end

The Stikeez craze has taken the country by storm over the last couple of weeks but stores have now run out and the chance to complete your Stikeez collection has come to an end.

Residents need not fret, however, as there are various other ways of getting your hands on that last little Stikeez needed to complete your set.

There are residents all over Springs willing to swap.

The Addie Facebook page was abuzz with comments as readers boasted about their massive Stikeez collection.

  • Ezilda Pistorius: “Both of my girls almost have a complete collection each. It does help that the grannies and some friends are donating their Stikeez to us, they also give out their extras and doubles to friends at school.”
  • Tamlyn Tyler: “Almost 24 years old and still collecting. Completely addicted to them.”
  • Lerato Lesetla: “My two-year-old eats them, so I try to hide them.”
  • Ronel Sakko: “Iemand dalk extra wat hulle kan skenk?”

That’s when the wheeling and dealing started, and kind residents offered their doubles to those in need of specific Stikeez and some even offered their whole collection.

The mystery as to why these Stikeez kicked up such a craze will probably never be solved.
