Power interruptions – Springs unplugged

Certain areas around Springs will be without power on Saturday due to planned power supply interruptions.

Themba Gadebe, spokesman for the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM), says a power supply interruption will be effective in Springs over the weekend.

“In its continuous efforts to provide a stable and reliable power supply to consumers, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) will be conducting urgent maintenance work in Springs,” he says.

In order to make way for the work there will be a planned power supply interruption which will affect parts of Springs on Saturday, from 8am until 4pm.

The following areas will be affected:

  • Duiker Avenue
  • Portion of Rooibekkie Avenue
  • Sundowners
  • Tinktinkie Crescent

Residents are urged to treat all electrical networks and equipment as electrically alive at all times.

“The EMM wishes to apologise for any inconvenience to be caused while maintenance work is being carried out.” Gadebe concludes.
