Tennis aces battle it out

The matches were due to take place on Saturday but were postponed to Sunday due to the rain.

The results of the day are as follows:

• n Colleen Fawcett and Sandy Kock played two sets of doubles against Michelle Kent and Elsa Labuschagne.

Colleen and Sandy won both sets 6-3.

• n Jonathan Reed and Sandy played mixed doubles against Ernst de Wet and Michelle in two sets.

Jonathan and Sandy beat Ernst and Michelle 6-love and 6-2.

• n Colleen and Sandy also played against Palesa Mabutsu and Anastasia Pesic in two sets.

Colleen and Sandy won again 6-2 and 7-5.

• Ryno de Lange and Logan Stoltz played doubles against Mike du Toit and Duncan Gall in three sets.

Ryno and Logan won 7-6 and 3-6 while Mike and Duncan won one set 4-6.

• Ernst and Gary Mons played against Ryno and Logan and beat them 6-3 and 6-4.

• Eben Maré and Anastasia played against Gary and Colleen and won two of the three sets 6-3 and 6-2.

Gary and Colleen won one set 6-4.

The finals of the tennis league will be played on Sunday at 8am at the Selection Park Tennis Club.
