Tyres get two suspects arrested

Two tyres and mags were seized by the Springs police in First Street, Springs CBD on Wednesday.

While the Springs SAPS Crime Prevention Unit were on routine patrols at 10.30am, they noticed two suspicious looking men pushing a trolley.

They stopped to investigate and found the trolley contained two tyres and mags.

The suspects, aged 21 and 25 years, couldn’t provide proof of purchase to the police.

The police arrested the suspects and took them to the Springs Police Station.

Springs police spokesman, Capt Johannes Ramphora, says at the moment they are investigating to establish where the stolen goods were obtained.

The suspects have not been charged yet and remain in custody at the Springs Police Station.
