No water due to burst pipe

The Ekurhuleni Metro workers fixed the meter valve.

Water was streaming down Springs West Road, Wright Park, since Tuesday (July 21) due to a burst pipe.

Ekurhuleni Metro spokesman Themba Gadebe claims the technicians worked tirelessly on the problem whic hwas caused by vandalism.

Residents in the Pollak Park, Dal Fouche, New Era, Wright Park and Krugersrus still be experienced water problems on Wednesday (July 22).

The metro has made provision for water and two water tankers which roamed the streets throughout the day in the areas affected to provide relief to the residents.

Wright Park resident Pat Mlangani says the water dried up at 11am on Tuesday.

The metro wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused and reminds residents to keep all taps closed for the duration of the outage.

The water was back to normal at 6am on Thursday.
