Liquor store robbed of cash

No one was injured during this robbery.

Five armed men robbed a Selection Park liquor store, last Tuesday.

Two robbers entered the store at 6.55pm, finding the owner and one employee behind the counter.

The employee allegedly noticed another man standing at the entrance of the store, and the owner immediately pushed the panic button.

Springs police spokesman, Amanda Greybe, says a third suspect entered the store when the first two suspects pointed their guns at the owner, and forced him to open the till.

While the robbers were taking money from the till, two more entered.

These two went to the office and ordered the owner to open the safe.

Greybe says they took an undisclosed amount of cash from the safe.

No shots were fired and the five robbers fled the scene on foot.
