The event was held in order to raise funds for House Otto which is a self-help centre for quadriplegics. The winning team for the first race of the Wheelchair Dash which took place on Saturday at Veritas College were Peet-Hugo Hattingh (in the wheelchair), Johan Oberholzer, Fritz Kommer and Kemp van der Merwe.The event was held to raise funds for House Otto, a self-help centre for quadriplegics which provides accommodation and the necessary physical assistance to quadriplegics and paraplegics.
