Fun at Bingo

It is played at the SpringsCare Community Centre.

Bingo is played at the SpringsCare Community Centre every first Tuesday of the month.

The turnout wasn’t good last Tuesday, but it didn’t dampen the spirits of the players present.

Several people won bingo and others won a few lines.

The senior citizens of Springs go the club on Wednesdays and Fridays to enjoy a scrumptious two course meal at a reasonable price.

To join to the club costs R120 and government pensioners pay R40 annually.

Chairman of the SpringsCare senior citizens club Margarette McCreath, claims the club is desperately in need of new members.

“Some of the members have died and we need to get younger people to join the club,” she says.

A bus is available to pick up those who don’t have transport, especially government pensioners.

The club has a fully stocked library where members can take out books and return them in their own time.

Margarette says it is wonderful having fellowship with friends.

The club also arranges a few events throughout the year.

The next event is the Easter Bonnet brunch taking place on April 10 at 11am.

The brunch includes bacon, scrambled eggs, tomato, mushrooms, sausage, hush browns and toast.

Tea and coffee is included.

Anyone interested in joining the club can call 011 811 1700.
