Blackfin’s swimmers go to Midmar
The club's fastest swimmer at the qualifying swimming race was Remo Venturi.

The Blackfin Swimming Club has several swimmers who will compete in the Aquelle Midmar Mile on February 7 and 8. This is the worldās largest open water swim.
On January 11, 23 swimmers fromĀ the clubĀ participated in an official Midmar qualifying swim, the Vaal Time Freight Swim Challenge.
The fastest swimmer from the club was Remo Venturi (11) who managed to swim the 1,2km course in 00:19:05, achieving an overall fifth position of the 129 swimmers entered into the menās category.
He was awarded third place in the boys U/13 category.
Blackfinās Ian Gatley won the menās 31 years and over category, while Clayton Cumming came third.
The fastest Blackfin girl was Daniela Venturi with a time of 00:22:50.
