The Cheetahs will be taking on the Brumbies in a Super Rugby match in the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on Saturday and on Thursday Cheetahs coach Franco Smith named six changes to the side who went down 39-22 to the Lions at Ellis Park last weekend.
The game kicks off at 3:05pm.
The Cheetahs have lost three of their four matches so far with their only win coming over the Sunwolves in Singapore, while defeats have been suffered against the Jaguares, the Stormers and the Lions.
Against the Jaguares they lost by a single point, against the Stomers by 10 and against the Lions by 17. The win of 32-31 against the Sunwolves was achieved after they trailed 28-7 in the opening half.
Changes to the team from last week:
Props Ox Nche and Johan Coetzee, lock Francois Uys and flank Boom Prinsloo are all included in the starting line-up with Charles Marais, Maks van Dyk, Carl Wegner and Henco Venter on the bench.
- Paul Schoeman moves to number 8, sending Henco Venter to the bench and Boom Prinsloo starting at number 6.
- Joubert Engelbrecht will be making his Super Rugby debut, replacing William Small-Smith on inside centre who has a fractured toe sustained early during the Lions match last weekend..
In a curtain raiser that kicks off at 12:45 Toyota Free State XV will be facing a team from the Border Bulldogs in preparation of the Currie Cup competition.
After the match, Zak Steyn will be providing entertainment on the Castle Deck and Twizza will again be handing out giveaways on the field. Supporters are encouraged to come and meet the players on field after the match.
Ticket prices: Main Stand – R80 for adults, R60 for kids, Main Stand – R60 for adults and R20 for kids.
