But the snag for coach Pine Pienaar, right, is that he’s working with a young group of players laid low by diminishing self-belief because of continual error-strewn performances.
It becomes a balancing act then holding the troops accountable but not inhibiting them.
“The biggest thing for us is that the guys must feel comfortable within the structure they play in,” noted Pienaar yesterday.
“We have certain objectives and the players need to sort out their on-field issues within our approach.
“I don’t want them feeling external pressure from the public and log positions.
“I want them to be comfortable to go out and play the way they can play because they definitely have the ability. It will simply take time and patience with a young team such as this.”
