Western Province flank and captain Deon Fourie will appear before a SA Rugby Union judiciary hearing after he was cited for foul play during Saturday’s Absa Currie Cup game against The Sharks in Cape Town.

Fourie made contact with the face in the eye area of Sharks looseforward Keegan Daniel.

The incident occurred in the 12th minute, after Daniel pulled Fourie to the ground. No action was taken by the referee.

Advocate Donny Jacobs was appointed as the judicial officer for Tuesday’s hearing.
