Reports coming from Egypt have suggested that the former Orlando Pirates coach was sacked by Mortada Mansour following a string of poor results.

Speaking to BBC World Football correspondent Osasu Obayiuwana, Sredojevic confirmed that he has indeed left the Egyptian giants and he will soon be coming to South Africa to “handle some issues”.

“I had a discussion with President Mortada Mansour and we have been able to end the relationship on an amicable note,” Micho told Obayiuwana on Tuesday morning.

“I did not want to end my relationship in a bad way, because I respect this club and the people here.

“When I leave Egypt in a few days, after tidying up final issues, I will be heading to South Africa, to handle some issues there,” he told me.

It’s not clear what those “issues” in South Africa are. But when he left South Africa for Egypt, Sredojevic was accused of sexual assault by an unnamed woman at a hotel during a Pirates camp.

With Pirates yet to fill his position, one cannot even rule out the possibility of his Pirates return.
