Mosimane gives up on Billiat

Mosimane says Billiat can do what he wants with his future after contract talks broke down between the player and the club.

“Khama can do whatever he wants to,” said Mosimane in an interview with SABC Sport. “If he wants to stay, he can stay; if he wants to go… The contract is finishing. We are at peace with that.

“And when he realises that we are at peace, he unfolds his place (he relinquishes his starting place). He deserves to be in the starting line-up.

“You (Billiat) must work a little bit to get in the starting line-up. If the team wins why do you want to change it?”

Mosimane admits that Billiat’s inevitable exit from the club is the reason he lost his place in the starting line-up.

“So if he scores then it’s something else then you say ‘okay, maybe he should start’.

“You got to work yourself into the starting line-up.”
