A final call on whether flyhalf Elton Jantjies will turn out on Friday night at Ellis Park for the Lions against the Crusaders in their big Super Rugby clash is still pending.

A spokesperson of the Lions said on Thursday afternoon that the team will hold their Captain’s Run at 1pm after which a final call will be made.

Jantjies has a fractured wrist but will take the field with a brace if he has convinced the Lions management that he is mentally and physically up for the task.

There must also be decided who will play at No 4 lock after Andries Ferreira was bracketed with Lourens Erasmus.

Coach Johan Ackermann however revealed it’s not because of injury but only tactical.
