Topping the day’s activities will be two races for SKF Pre-66 Legend Saloon Cars, with the man to beat being Franco Scribante in his Remos Ford Mustang.
He will compete with the likes of Jonathan du Toit (TAR Chev Nova), Ferdi van Niekerk (Ford Mustang, Mark du Toit (Chevelle), Roy Prando (Alfa Giulia Sprint), Clive Densham (Alfa Giulia), Patrick Gearing (Alfa Giulia) and Marc Miller (BMW 2002).
Mark du Toit (TAR Lola T70 Spyder) will head up the Pre-66 Sports and GT grid, leading Peter Lindenberg (Shelby Daytona Coupe), Jonathan du Toit (TAR Daytona Coupe), Evert Botha (Porsche RSR) and Dennis McBeath (Alpine Turbo Mpiti).
In the midfield, the people to watch should include Chris Myers (TVR Vixen), Ferdie van Niekerk (Porsche 356A), Nick Parrott (MGB), Clive Winterstein
(Porsche 356A), Roger Houston (MGB) and Ishmael Baloyi (TAR GSM Dart).
Topping the Consolidated Auctioneers Pre-1984 Sports car entries will be Colin Ellison (Chevron B19), who will be hard pressed in the charge for the chequered flag by the likes of George Avvakoumides (Ocean Basket Porsche 911 RSR), Peter Jenkins (Nucleus Chevron B19),
Stefan Puschavez (Porsche RSR) and Franco Scribante (Porsche 911).
The Marlboro Crane Hire Historic Saloon Car events will boast a huge entry, and some of Gauteng’s fastest club racing cars.
The top entries will include Anton Raaths (Mazda R100), Graeme Nathan (Kaye-Eddie BMW CSI), Martin Botha (Datsun 1200 GX Coupe), Jaco Correia (Datsun GX Coupe), Djurk Venter (Ford Capri) and Jan Jacobs (Alfa Romeo GT Junior).
There will also be races featuring Marque Cars, Inestchem Formula Ford Kent, the Sabat Lotus Challenge and a 90-minute Endurance race at the end of the day.
