The Indian Premier League (IPL) auction took place at the weekend and delivered some predictable deals for some South African stars.
Lungi Ngidi, the Proteas’ new bowling gem, almost became an instant millionaire when he was snapped up by Chennai Super Kings.
However, there were no deals for Hashim Amla, Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel.
