“I am honored to be a part of this show as we will be initiating conversations that are long overdue,” she said.

Retired Paralympian and Commonwealth Games gold-medialist swimmer, Natalie du Toit makes a comeback into sports as the co-host of Women. Sports. Talk (WST); a talk show that is centered on celebrating the achievements of South African women from different sporting codes.

The show will air its debute episode tomorrow (12 November 2015) at 20h00 on SuperSport 4 (SS4). Produced and co-hosted by veteran sports broadcaster Cynthia Tshaka, WTS will be providing a platform for meaningful debates to occur around the corporate, organizational and economic cavities that are actively hindering the advancement of South African women in sports and their counterparts throughout the continent.

“Inequality, gender discrimination and lack of opportunities have long been the constraining factors to the professionalism of women’s sports. At the World of Champions we subscribe to the notion of total equality in the world of sports where both men and women, girls and boys, become the champions they are meant to be,” said SuperSport’s Head of Production, Alvin Naicker.

“SuperSport is proud to be associated with Women Sports Talk, a show that will definitely inspire women across the country to be champions in their sport, thereby becoming South Africa’s ambassadors to the world.”

Being one of the world’s most inspiring sporting icons, du Toit brings a unique and first hand experience of both the victories and challenges women in sports face.

“What I am passionate about is the sharing of knowledge and experience with young girls and women, demonstrating that obstacles are there for a reason and that it is possible to turn them into advantages,” says du Toit.

“I am honored to be a part of this show as we will be initiating conversations that are long overdue”.

Women. Sports. Talk will air every Thursday and SS4 at 20h00. Repeats will be aired during the course of the week on other SuperSport Channels.
