Some may even label it a mismatch, but you never know...

In what looks like a possible mismatch, South African heavyweight champion Ruann Visser meets Johannesburg-based Zimbabwean, 35-year-old Elvis Moyo in a bout scheduled for 10 rounds at Time Square in Pretoria on Sunday.

The 28-year-old Visser from Meyerton, Gauteng who is known as “the Giant King” has a knockout ratio of 81 percent and is coming off two good wins in 2018. He is much younger and bigger than Moyo.

However, Moyo a former mixed-martial arts fighter who has a record of 8-5-2; 4 has won his last five fights with three coming inside the distance and could possibly surprise the South African.

Only two of his five losses have been inside the distance and those two losses were at the start of his career against the capable Ilunga Makubu.

An interesting match-up on the undercard is the cruiserweight clash between Lebo Mashitoa 5-0; 1 and former cage fighter Chris Thompson 6-2; 5.

The two losses on Thompson’s record came against Akani Phuzi who beat him on points in their first match and then on a spectacular second round knockout in their second fight.

Other fighters to be featured on the bill are South Africans Justice Siliga, Joshua Pretorius, Noa Chikwambane and Kizito Rumhamnye (DRC), Valentino Munda (DRC), Dennis Mwale (Malawi) and Denys Lazarev (Ukraine).

The Battle of Warriors 3 bill is presented by Jani Hebler of 5th Element Promotions.

The first bout is scheduled to start at 2pm.
