It is authentic and relatable to our audiences as we live among crime, drugs and we hope this will be an educational moment for audiences and the cast but also will pave a creative way to be in touch with something.”

The auditions were open to individuals between 9-50 years, which according to Zungu, was an opportunity to source talent for future projects as they plan to expand their portfolio.

The drama film follows two friends, Dollar and Professor, who are faced with challenging life circumstances and family dysfunctionality. When Dollar’s father is killed, the two friends seek revenge, and both friends get drawn into the world of crime. The pair who dreams of owning a car dealership and another becoming an accountant must decide between continuing down a dangerous path or save money to pursue their dreams.

“The film is a story of resilience, brotherhood and the pursuit of dreams. It echoes a powerful message about the consequences of choices and the importance of friendship,” adds Sipho Zungu, Director and COO.

“For us it was important that we create a film that depicts our everyday lives. The two characters are so much of what we see in our homes and communities.”

The movie will be shot around various locations in Soweto. According to the pair, the feature film promises high levels of intrigue, entertainment, suspense and betrayal.

They said they hoped that the film would give young people in various communities a creative outlet in a world of chaos and adversity.
