Milk tart cake made in an air fryer

Ingredients

  • 50g butter
  • 50g sugar
  • 1 large eggs
  • 50g flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp milk

Topping

  • 15g butter
  • 1.5 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Method

  1. Preheat the Instant Pot Duo Crisp to 150 degrees C. NB: use the air fryer lid.
  2. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until white and fluffy. Add in the eggs and beat again. Add in the flour, baking powder and vanilla. Mix till combined.
  3. Mix all the ingredients for the topping, crumble and pour into a greased cake pan. And then add the cake batter.
  4. Place the cake pan in the Duo Crisp for 30 minutes. After the 30 minutes check to see if the cake is fully cooked, then remove and cool completely. If the cake is not done bake for another 5-10 minutes. Cool the cake completely. Slice in half, add a thick layer of custard. Sprinkle with extra cinnamon and icing sugar.
