The Wine, Whales and Music affairs at De Hoop are always a treat, and the 2021 event is coming up, and really is a fantastic reason to head on down to the Cape.
A fabulous profusion of wine tastings, high tea, gourmet dinners and special performances by jazz duo Hanna and Bram, as well as a world class ensemble Whale Time Serenade with celebrated musicians MalanĂ© Hofmeyr-Burger, Peta-Ann Holdcroft, Irina Tsoniff and Ivo Ivanov and Vladimir Ivanov doing their marvellous thing on the flute, cello, violin and viola. Â
Guest speaker Prof Mike Bruton will be talking about Finding Old Fourlegs: The Remarkable Story of the Coelacanth and there’ll be chocolate-making and pizza-creating workshops , guided marine and bird walks and, of course, whale- watching … a highlight of any trip in the De Hoop Nature Reserve.
