According to Jermaine Nicolls who is the Project Coordinator at PAPU said that their aggressive social relief campaign catered to about 1100 people with food parcels from the food bank in Region B for Ward 68, 69, and 82.

If you passed through the area during last week you would have seen the long queues and the trolleys which residents filled with their food parcels.

Nicoll added: “PAPU would like to thank all partners involved with this project. Also, we would like to thank the community that was so patient with us as we render this service to them.”

When asked if this is the first and last for the three partners, Nicholl’s said that they as PAPU have their own food bank so the organisation is hopeful that this will be an on-going initiative that will the residents out in the community.
