On May 1 this year, Eldos FM celebrated their 10th birthday. The staff at the station were pleased with all the support they received from the community. Many community members flooded the station’s airways to wish them a happy birthday.
“We were in a celebratory mood all day. We gave away prizes every hour and appreciated the calls from so many listeners.
“We want to thank Build-It Eldorado Park, Bindawood Butchery, Jimmy’s Killer Fish and Chips, Nandos, Shaheeds Fast Foods, Adams Cafe and Park Bakery for sponsoring all the prizes.” said management.

Eldos FM has come a long way, this 10th anniversary allowed management to reminisce about what it was like 10 years ago.
“We started out with very little equipment and we had no funding. We had One mic and a cell phone – we put the cell phone against the mic when people called in.
“We have grown so much over the years. The community, our listeners, they helped our station grow,” said management.

The future of Eldos FM is bright and the management team have expressed their desire to achieve three goals over the next 10 years.
“We want to expand our physical space, increase our listenership and employ more people.”
Eldos FM has placed more than 30 individuals in the commercial space.
