Her journey began as a Top 100 semi-finalist, on March 2, at Emperors Palace where she was selected out of a record number of entries received by the organisation.

Mrs South Africa (Pty) Ltd is the “Number One” Pageant and Female Empowerment programme for married women and is not a typical beauty pageant in the traditional sense of the word. It offers women who have real-life careers, families and hobbies a platform to make a difference.

Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa is a Women-Empowerment Program which prides itself on producing the very best real, relatable and modern women.

Through the journey women realize that they are never too old to follow their dreams and become voices of change: “I am thrilled and extremely excited at the opportunity to be a Brand Ambassador for the Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa Pageant,” said Retief.

Retief has been happily married to her soul mate and University sweetheart; Dean Retief for 17 years. He is a Banking Executive and Senior Pastor for 17 years and together they have two beautiful daughters – Daniella and Demique Retief, aged 14-years-old and 12-years-old, respectively.

Only 25 lucky women will be selected to continue the journey, as finalists, for Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa who will be announced at the Annual Charity Ball on 29th June at Centre Court, Emperors Palace.  All proceeds from this event will go to the pageant’s official charity, Women4Women South Africa.
