In 2009 Sizwe Dlomo went on air at YFM and hinted at having an interest in working with up and coming performer Mandla’ Mansion P’ Hlatshwayo. Since then the artist has all but disappeared off the radar.
After eight years, Mansion P, who has been working in various Studios in Soweto with different producers, finally drops a free song called To the top (https://www.datafilehost.com/d/7ea27213) which describes his journey and encourages diligence.
In speaking about his journey in the last near decade it has been time of growing and maturing. “It was really difficult to continue performing after almost falling into depression and resorting to suicide a dozen times but the music is what kept me hopeful.
“From 2006, I always strove to be excellent, and this free track is nothing but an example of the excellent level I have reached because of hard work.”
Besides depression he has also had to fight for his life after being struck by Gullien Barrè Syndrome (GBS).
Surviving it (https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/guillain-barre-syndrome/symptoms-causes/syc-20362793) taught him to survive alone and believe in good more.
Mandla has mentored many up and coming artists. Something that he says has been as much about helping them as it was about healing himself.

He is currently working on his first mixtape called Dear Child and will be dropping the accompanying book Dear Child in 2018.
