South African ‘Ninja’ Lalla Hirayama

Hirayama has created a name for herself in the South African entertainment industry.

The camera loves her and the entertainment industry was destined for her, Born Lalla ‘Ninja’ Hirayama (29) in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa-Ken, Japan in February 1988.

Hirayama has created a name for herself in the South African entertainment industry making her one of the ‘IT’ girls alongside her peers Bonang Matheba, Pearl Thusi, Khanyi Mbau to name a few.

Hirayama started her career in 2005 when she started dancing professionally at a number of corporate functions under the Vigor8 Company, through her love for dancing Hirayama founded the Clinch City Entertainment (ACC), a hip-hop marketing & events company.



It was Craz-e on E-TV that South Africans started noticing the Japanese beauty where she presented the daily kids show when she was 15 and four years later SABC 1 head hunted Hirayama as the LIVE continuity presenter and brand ambassador.

A year later Hirayama played the role of ‘Felicia’ on E-TV’s prime time soapie Rhythm City and as a dark angel on the E-TV shows Axe Dark Angels and during this time she began presenting the show ‘Scar Tissue’ for the new DSTV channel Vuzu, soon after which she joined the prime time, live celeb gossip show V Entertainment as well as becoming a live continuity presenter for the channel.

While on Vuzu, Lalla played the role of ‘Bianca’ on the bio-weekly soapie ‘Zone 14’ on SABC 1 and a few months later she joined the ‘Tropica Island of Treasure’ team and co-hosted the 3rd season, which aired on E-TV alongside DJ Fresh in Phuket, Thailand.



Hirayama has graced many red carpets, hosted many entertainment shows and is still growing in her craft. South Africa has seen ‘IT’ come and go as for Lalla with a career spanning for over a decade she has proven to South Africans that she is here to stay.

In 2009 Lalla was featured on the FHM calendar and voted #15 in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in The World and #14 in 2010.
