A new dimension in house music -DJ Kev Master!

DJ Kev Master introduces a new taste to House Music.

House Music is currently one of the biggest industries in South Africa and Dj Kev Master aims at making it even bigger!

The 29-year-old has been making music for more than 10 years and is showing no signs of stopping.

His latest project/track titled Long Live, is a tribute to the Youth of this country and will be released on the 16th of June (Youth day) and also available for download on Sound Cloud.

The Mix was a collaboration with Supreme DJ (Sandile). The two DJs were inspired by the current political and social situation that many of the young people are going through specifically, within the education sector not only locally but as the African continent.

The Mix was inspired by the Mighty Wits SDASM Choir who recently performed a different version of Nkosi sikeleli iAfrica.

The choir performed the anthem in three different African languages namely: Xhosa, Zulu, and Shona (Zimbabwean language) during the Fees must fall campaign.

The track has elements of the recently found piano sound of South Africa, mixed with the Africanism sound called Afro House.

“We are deeply moved and touched by what many of the young people are presently going through. We aim to soothe and ease the pain away with the sounds of our melodies.”

The two DJs are hoping on working together again in producing more House music, which will focus on issues that are currently suppressing the youth.

Dj Kev Master has played on various platforms such as YFM, Soweto TV, Club Rockefeller, Ricardo’s and also the well well-known Zone 6 Venue. You can also catch him on the online radio station known as House frequency.net
