Day 2 of the Bus strike: Commuters still struggling with transport

Negotiations continue - people going to Moria to be affected more

Well, it is absolutely clear that the national bus strike has a negative impact on commuters who rely on this form of transport to get from point A-B.

Jobs are put at risk because workers get to their respective working environs late, and as a result, commence work later than their colleagues who own their vehicles.

Taxi drivers, however, have had a lot of customers since the beginning of the bus strike and queues are noticeably longer than usual.

One of the Rea Vaya bus users, Noluthando Radebe, says she spends R39.00 when using a taxi – compared to a bus where she spends just 20 bucks.

Unbeknownst to some commuters, bus companies like Putco and Rea Vaya have pledged to keep customers abreast of the latest developments.
