707 Panyaza throws major 2-day birthday party
Major brands such as Remy Martin and Smirnoff were a part of the event

Co-owner of 707 Panyaza pub, Zweli Zikalala celebrated his 38th birthday by throwing a 2-day event at the pub.
“I don’t usually celebrate my birthdays, but this time I thought why not? I mean I’m in entertainment I can’t shy away when it is my birthday because I have got a lot of friends, so I might as well,” said Zikalala.
The event which was sponsored by major brands such as Remy Martin and Smirnoff was a buzz the whole weekend.
707 Panyaza is a well-known hotspot not just in Soweto but surrounding areas too. It has been featured in various TV shows such as the popular Mzansi Magic series Rockville and much-loved cooking show The Ultimate Braai Master.
The pub was actually a night club called Club 707 back in the 1980s when it operated in Orlando West.
The name Panyaza actually derives from the name of butchery owner that Ralph Zikalala-owner of Club707 and father to co-owner Zweli Zikalala-merged businesses with.
The numbers 707 are actually numbers of an airplane that Ralph Zikalala rode in the 1970’s. He had such a wonderful experience in that airplane that he decided to use its number as a part of the name of the place.
