Willie debuts – ‘Live my Life’
Willie Mogami takes the experimental sound to the hood
One of the very few experimental and Electro artists from Soweto will no longer keep his fans waiting as he is said to release his new hit singles later this year.
Following from his Ep called Sacred Scares released in 2015, Willie Mogemi is at it again this year after a year of absence and planning.
Mogami will be releasing two singles in April and in June called ‘Live my Life’- which is an Electro track and ‘Do you Right’- which is a RnB track, both produced by ‘Thvt Cool Guy’.
Mogemi dedicated 2016 to establishing his entertainment company called Willie Mogemi Models which works to merge the music and modelling industry.
Willie started realising his love for music when he was in Grade Seven and began realising this as a singer at church.
He later started a crew with some friends but the groups later dispersed, resulting in Mogemi venturing into a solo career.
Three years ago Mogemi then started experimenting with beats and evaluating what kind of sound he is comfortable with.
“Once I found my musical identity I realised that a large number of girls struggle with confidence even if they have so much potential.
“So I decided to start a company where we would groom young girls into models and teach them a few things on how to carry themselves.
“Currently we have 15 models and they are the companies brand ambassadors who promoting our T-shirts while I make it a point that I promote them and the company every time I have an opportunity to promote my music.
“So far I’m making more money with the t-shirt sales compared to my music, hence I’m working hard to promote my music as much as I can,” said Mogemi.
The company is open for more models of all sizes to join them if anyone from Naledi and surrounding areas are interested in modelling.
