Celebs and Socialites invade Vilakazi Street

Sowetans rub shoulders with their favourite celebs at the launch of DANUP.

The spotlight was on Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune who was unveiled as the new ambassador for DANUP.

The do was held the swanky Vuyo’s Restaurant and it was as glamorous as the venue itself.

Khune was announced as the ambassador for DANUP, a new filling and delicious multigrain with yogurt blend which is targeted at man on the go.

This a first of its kind unique offering for the South African men and it is made with a combination of four different grains namely maize, barley, sorghum and oats.

“Danone, which globally has over 100 years expertise in making yoghurt has collaborated and worked with South African men to develop this product.

“We made sure that the product offered consumers a blend that is both nutrient dense and filling without compromising on taste,” says Emil Gochev managing director at Danone Southern Africa.

The Bafana Bafana number one goalkeeper could not contain his excitement about being selected as the ambassador for the new product.

“I am proud that DANUP is a local creation by South African men for South African men. I am also proud to be the official ambassador,” he said.

Delicious and sweet treats were the order of the day as DANUP flowed like the Victoria Falls for revellers to enjoy and take home.

Entertainment was delivered courtesy of DJ duo Spectacular and Naves who kept revellers on the dance floor with their hot set.

Comedian Skhumba Hlophe made sure everyone laughed their lungs out with his jokes. Another man on the go who graced the event was kwaito legend Kabelo Mabalane.
