National Kwaito Tour kicks off in Dobsonville

Strictly Kwaito Album said to feature 13 original kwaito artists.

The Strictly Kwaito Build up Tour took place at Disoufeng Pub in Dobsonville ahead of the national kwaito tour.

The event was an official launch of a national tour of a legacy project called Strictly Kwaito which will involve 13 kwaito artists who will produce and compile the Strictly Kwaito album featuring new and original kwaito songs.

The project is fuelled by Pantsula Nation Records, Vintage Heritage and endorsed by Musicians Association of South Africa.

The project aims to empower South African Kwaito artists through skills transference, business and economic development and financial literacy.

“I started the project in order to preserve the original sound of Kwaito music.

“Strictly Kwaito is an economic development project  because the artists will be distributing their music locally and not through international record labels,  in effect, strengthening the South African economy,” said Squire Arnold Nododile, President of Pantsula Nation Records.
