The Humbled Hearts Organization will be partying with a purpose at their ‘Under My Umbrella’ poolside party at Mabeleng Precinct on October 8.
The event will be hosted in the preparation of their upcoming December Drive where Humble Hearts will be donating stationary, toiletry and food to Tender Love and Care Children’s Home in Eikenhof.
The children’s home house 70 children from ages 0-4, and 30 individuals from 5-18 on a daily basis.
Nine Dj’s will be on deck with a poolside party experience where food and drinks will be sold in the venue for a cover charge of R 50.
All parties will contribute skills and services including the Dj’s, venue and organising the event, thus all proceeds will go towards the December Drive.
The organization started after Toni Kaas saw a need for clothing during the winter season in Eldorado Park and decided to do something about the situation.
Thus the first event hosted by Humble Hearts was a charity drive to donate winter clothing in Eldos.
“After donating the clothes I realized that there is a lot more that is needed in the community and myself with some friends decided to start a charity organisation.
“Since I’ve started, I’ve gotten some fulfilment and most importantly, I feel like I’m slowly finding myself in charity work,” said Kaas.
