Ariel ends Women’s Month with a bang

Rebecca Malope entertained guests and inspired attendees with her story of struggling as a woman.

Ariel launched their campaign at the Soweto Theatre on August 26 at an event hosted by renowned radio personality Dudu Khoza, and featuring a musical performance by the Queen of Gospel and Ariel brand ambassador, Rebecca Malope.

To continue this celebration, a new Ariel campaign was launched on the 26th, which puts ordinary South African women in the spotlight, and recognises the countless sacrifices they make every day build a better future for them and their loved ones.

Dr. Rebecca Malope said, “We want to change the mindset of women so that they don’t depend too much on their husbands but stand up and do it for themselves.

“Every day, all around South Africa, there are ordinary women who do extraordinary things to make sure that they, their families and their communities can succeed,” said Rebecca Malope.

“They make the impossible, possible, and Ariel wants to tell their stories and sing their praises.”

Rebecca Malope is a living example of someone who has made the impossible, possible.

Attendees were made up of stokvel committee members because Ariel announced that it would be making an investment in the Stokvel Academy, which provides training in financial and business skills as well as personal development to stokvels and their members.

“By supporting women and their stokvels, we aim to not only empower the individual, but also her strongest and most loyal support structure, her stokvel,” said Debbie Lombard, Ariel brand manager.

The theatre was set on fire with inspirational gospel music from Malope that everybody in the audience could lip-synch to.

Malope and Dudu Khoza shared their stories of success to motivate the ladies in the audience that it is possible to make it in no matter the challenges.

Khoza said  “Women are investing in a better future for themselves; they are making sacrifices so that their families can not only survive, but thrive, and they do so without hesitation or looking for anything in return.

I hope that everyone will share their story of someone who is making the impossible, possible, so that we can recognise the strength of South African women, and sing their praises.”
