Easter celebrated through arts

Local artist celebrates his hard work and shares his pain through drawings.

The Murodumo I.T. Projects hosted a three day visual arts exhibition, showcasing rare local talent at the Moletsane Sports Complex last week Tuesday.

The exhibition consisted of Thabiso Seqobane’s work.

He is one of the most well established visual artists in Tladi.

The exhibition aims to elevate local arts.

Murodumo was the company funding the exhibition and the event’s project manager Lesiba Maja said that as part of celebrating the Easter week, one of the aims of bringing the show to the sports complex is to create a greater sense of appreciation for arts and local artists.

When asked about the artworks and the inspiration behind them, Thabiso Seqobane who has been in the industry for more than six years said that the pieces were a representation of the pain and suffering that he has been experienced.

“Arts for me is a form of expression and this was me pouring my emotions out the best way I know how.

“The work was done at a time when I had just lost my mother and times were tough considering what she had to go through just for me to be where I am right now,” Seqobane said.
