Orlando Secondary plans to focus on maths and science

Peter Nhlapho the principal of Orlando Secondary School said he is pleased with his schools matric results regardless of the slight decrease.

The school obtained 72.9 % compared to 74.2 in 2014.

Orlando Secondary dropped from 87.7 % in 2012 to 74.2 in 2013.

“The quality of our results improved from the previous year. We plan on working harder this year, our target for this year is 80%,” he said.

Nhlapho added that most of the pupils who failed in his school were mathematics and science pupils.

“We plan on putting more focus on maths and science starting from Wednesday when schools re-open,” said Nhlapho.
