ANC Youth League’s Viola Hashe branch in Zone 7 held a fundraiser on March 29 at a park opposite Kopanong Hall, Dobsonville.
They were washing cars.
The event was aimed at raising funds for the elections, ANCYL branch programmes, mobilising of the youth and visibility of the ANC in the branch.
Zone 7 coordinator, Mangaliso Khonza said other branches across the zone were busy with similar initiatives.
“They were washing cars, educating people about the works of the ANC and encouraging people to go to the polls come May.
Khonza said those who do door-to-door have to eat and get refreshments after every campaign.
“That’s the reason why we doing these fundraising events,” said Khonza.
