Ellen Willams celebrated her 100th birthday with her family and friends at the Riverlea Empowerment Centre.
There was a programme that included speeches from family and friends, wishing their loved one a happy birthday.
Some of ‘Aunty Ellen’s ’ friends said, “It’s the grace of God that we are here today to celebrate her 100th birthday.”H
Her grandchildren all wore t-shirts that bore birthday wishes to their grandmother.
Sharing fond memories with old friends was one of the highlights that some of her friends enjoyed.
“Remembering the good old days we shared together, she will always be close to my heart,” said Coral Du Preez.
Being able to reach the age of 100 is a huge achievement and example of how the grace of God is on ‘Aunty Ellen’s ’ life.
