Ward 82 councillor Susan Stewart will be having a public meeting to inform the community on December 4, at 6:30pm at the Blue Hall in Newclare.
The Johannesburg Development Agency, on behalf of the City of Johannesburg, will be implementing a Public Upgrade Project in Westbury.
The project will focus on non-motorised transport infrastructure connecting the greater park of Westbury to areas of public interest like schools and health facilities.
The infrastructure will also aim at safely connecting the Westbury community to the Rea Vaya trunk route on Fuel Road.
The scope of the project will entail the construction of pedestrian walkways, upgrading of certain roads, stormwater upgrades on the affected roads, landscaping and installation of CCTV cameras.
Roads affected are Dowling Street – between Hamilton and Main Road; Steytler Street – between Eric and Dowling Streets and Kretzmar Street – between Dowling and Fuel Road.
