The Soweto Gumboot Dancers, Reason, Ditsebe.Com and Teargas gave stellar performances at the Schools Recycling Awards at the Pyramid Conference Centre in Johannesburg last Tuesday.
The gumboot dancers showed their skill and got the crowd dancing along to their music.
Reason, a prominent hip hop artist, entertained the audience with his latest hit song ‘No sleep’ and made it his point to teach the audience the lyrics.
Ditsebe.Com, an upcoming comedian, delivered a satirical piece that left the audience in stitches.
An Amalgamated Beverage Industries band performed their own composition that encouraged people to recycle.
The event was hosted by the (ABI), the soft drink division of South African Breweries (SAB) supported by the PET Recycling Company (PETCO).
