The second annual Soweto T-shirt Festival/Expo will be hosted at the Pimville Sport Centre in Zone Six next Saturday.
“The vision of the event is to develop a different strategy on enhancing marketing for young designers in the township.
We want to create a platform for young designers to interact directly with retailers on their designed art work,” says Mokhantso Nthoba the managing director and events manager.
He said the event will focus on exhibiting local T-shirt brands and a fashion show will showcase different designers.
“The purpose of the event is to create a marketing platform for T-shirt brands and making them known in the township, he said.
He urged residents to come and support local brands on the day.
Nthoba said residents should expect quality brands by designers that pay attention to what they are doing.
