SKK to host a talent showcase event

SKK gives artists platform to show off talents.

Swagg King Kong (SKK) will on November 30 host an entertainment event in Dobsonville’s Marula street near Usave.

The purpose of the event is to officially launch SKK.

SKK is a media organisation that seeks to grow local talent through hosting events to give them exposure.

Event organisers Siyabonga ‘Nitrobeatz’ Hlongwane and Wandile Manake both said they have previously received a lot of support from the youth and the older generation.

Hlongwane said this will be the second time in two years they will be holding such an event.

The first event was held to fund raise for Ubuntu Old Age Home which is found in Jabulani.

“This fundraise formed part of the World Aids Awareness Day event also held last year in Zondi,” said Hlongwane.

Manake said the concept of initiating an entertainment company occurred to them during their time in Grade 10.

“Every time we organised an event most our schoolmates would go and support.

He said this motivated them to put their focus on this field.

The November 30 event will start from 6pm until late.
