The Diepkloof Zonal Tournament Quarterfinals

Diepkloof Hostel (DH) won 4-2 in the penalty shoot-out against Diepkloof Extension (DE).

The Diepkloof Zonal Tournament (DZT) had its quarterfinal games on August 9th where Diepkloof Hostel (DH) won 4-2 in the penalty shoot-out against Diepkloof Extension (DE). Zone Three won 4-2 against Zone Four and Zone One won 4-3 against Zone Two in penalty shoot-outs.

One of the referees in the tournament Berneth Mashwamela said, “I am satisfied with the tournament’s level of energy and the players so far.”
Thabo Ntsopea of DE said, “The game was good and I think the guys played well, but penalties can go both ways. The tournament is good for the community.”

DE were the defending champions of the DZT, but they were knocked out in the quarter-finals, Molefe Skhosana the coach said, “Our way forward is to maintain positivity and continue. I’m happy about my team’s performance even if they lost.” 
Simphiwe Madida Letele mentioned that the DZT has produced players like Teko Modise and Lucas Radebe, he said, “Our wish is to see the boys get identified at a professional level.
Letele said, players like Shoes Moshoeu and Benedict Vilakazi played in the DZT.
The coach for DH Sthembiso Basa said, “The boys did very well because they rectified mistakes.”
