Destroyer FC from Orlando East honoured their name by destroying Barcelona FC from Diepkloof by five goals to nil on Friday.
These teams were playing in the finals of the Qhakaza Games held at the Fanta Soccer Grounds in Orlando East last week.
The Orlando East side, made their way to the finals of the tournament which had 16 teams participating.
The tournament was divided in to two categories.
The first one being the under 11s and the second one being the under 13s.
Destroyer won the under 11s category while the under 13s category was won by hosts Qhakaza FC.
Qhakaza walked away with the trophy by defeating the under 13s of the Destroyer FC by two goals to nil.
Tournament organiser Simon Mnisi said, “We felt that it was important for us to organise these games so that we keep the boys busy during the school holidays.”
Outstanding players in the tournament were awarded with t-shits, medals and trophies.
