Computicket have confirmed that in less that a week, the Soweto derby tickets are already sold out for purchase for the attractive encounter between Kaizer Chiefs (Amakhosi) and Orlando Pirates (Bucs) in just less than two weeks’.
The first Soweto Derby for 2014 is scheduled to take place at FNB Stadium at 3:30pm.
The Amakhosi team are the runaway Premier Soccer League (PSL) league leaders, and are enjoying success in the CAF Champions League as well.
Bucs appear to be a team in transition and it may take time for the players to adjust to life under new coach, Vladimir Vermezovic.
The departure of the highly influential, Andile Jali, in the centre of the park has also raised questions about whether they can adequately replace their former star man.
Bucs have shown life in recent games and could be back in with a shout in the title race if they can win their games-in-hand, as well as take the three points against the Amakhosi later this month.
